What to Expect
Participating in a clinical trial is a meaningful decision. Here's a step-by-step overview of what you can expect from your first inquiry through study completion.
Initial Contact
Reach out to our research team by phone or email. We'll gather basic information about your eye health history and the condition(s) you're being treated for to help identify which studies may be a potential match.
Screening Visit
A formal screening visit allows our team to confirm your eligibility. All studies have entry criteria designed to ensure your safety and the scientific integrity of the data. Not everyone will qualify for every study, and that's okay.
Informed Consent
Before any study procedures begin, you will review and sign an informed consent document. Our team will walk through all study requirements, potential risks, and benefits so you can make a fully informed decision to participate.
Study Visits
Depending on the trial, you will have several follow-up visits over the study period. Our research coordinators work with your schedule to make participation as convenient as possible. Study-related care is provided at no cost to you.
